Q. Which platforms does PipPilot run on?
iOS and Android, built with React Native (Expo). The journal works fully offline; cloud sync runs when connectivity returns.
Q. How is this different from Edgewonk or Tradervue?
Edgewonk and Tradervue are desktop-first and cover stocks/futures/crypto in addition to FX. PipPilot is mobile-first and forex-only, optimized for the 30-second window between London and NY open.
Q. Do I have to connect my broker account?
No. PipPilot is intentionally standalone — no MT4/MT5 broker API connection. You log entry / SL / TP / lot manually. This keeps you off the Myfxbook treadmill of broker-locked data.
Q. How is pip value calculated for non-USD accounts?
We bundle FX rate snapshots from fxblue/OANDA at trade-close timestamps and convert pip value into your account currency (USD / EUR / GBP / AUD / JPY). Snapshot timestamps are visible per trade.
Q. Does it support FTMO / MyForexFunds / Topstep prop challenges?
Yes. Pro plans include rule templates for daily and total drawdown thresholds (4% / 8% etc.) and a weekly compliance score. Prop firms supported: FTMO, MyForexFunds successor, Topstep, FundedNext.
Q. Is the weekly AI review actual AI or human-written?
AI categorizes your trades by emotional tag (greed / fear / FOMO / discipline) and writes a 200-word summary. Pip and R-multiple math is deterministic — yoritech owns the calculation logic, not the AI.
Q. Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed via App Store / Google Play. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring billing.
Q. Does PipPilot give trading advice?
No. PipPilot records trades and surfaces patterns. Trade decisions remain yours, and AI-tagged patterns are estimates, not recommendations.
Q. Is my trade data secure?
Trades sync end-to-end encrypted to your account. No data is sold or shared. You can export to CSV and delete your account at any time.
